Last year's "DIY Kit Challenge" contest yielded some quite original guitar designs (I still can't get over the telephone-caster idea) and since DIY is a passion that Musicngear shares, we will be taking part in the contest as well, customizing a Harley Benton Bass Guitar Kit P-Style and a Harley Benton Electric Guitar Kit ST-Style!

How does it work?

Simply pick a DIY kit from the ones listed below, assemble it, customize its design to suit your unique style and post a video playing your new music gear on your social media with the hashtag #DIYKitChallenge22. The terms of the contest mention that the instrument must be visually convincing and playable, which is quite reasonable otherwise what's the purpose of building your own music instrument if not to play it!

What's the prize?

1st place wins a hefty 500€ voucher, 2nd place 350€ and 3rd place 200€. Sign me up!

The contest runs from April 18th at 12:00 pm to Sunday June 19th, 2022 at 23:59:59 pm (CEST). Visit the following blog post at Thomann's blog to get the full scoop on the story and the exact terms of the contest and...prepare you screwdriver and paintbrush!
