BeatleShorts: Petruska's "Help!" Tribute Brings Beatles Magic to 2025
Acoustic virtuoso Petruska reimagines The Beatles' iconic 1965 album with a heartfelt, instrumental homage, released exactly six decades after the original.

For Budapest-based singer-songwriter and guitar virtuoso Petruska, The Beatles are more than a musical influence, they’re a lifelong companion. In his ambitious solo project BeatleShorts, he takes that devotion to another level: covering every Beatles song exactly 60 years after its original release.
Released in real time, just six decades later, these stunning instrumental reinterpretations breathe new life into the Fab Four’s legendary catalogue. From precision fingerstyle to inventive arrangements, each cover is a heartfelt tribute rooted in deep respect and musical ingenuity.
This summer marks the 60th anniversary of Help!, the Beatles’ fifth album and second film soundtrack. Petruska honors the occasion with a full-album acoustic tribute, masterfully capturing both the hits (Yesterday, Ticket To Ride, Help!) and the hidden gems (I’ve Just Seen A Face, You’re Going To Lose That Girl).
The tribute video, shot in warm natural tones, is not only a sonic homage but a meditative reflection on six decades of enduring artistry.

"Besides my parents, The Beatles' music has been the only constant thing in my life", says Petruska. "No matter what happens in the world, at least in loving The Beatles' music, we could be as one".
BeatleShorts isn’t just a personal challenge, it’s a global connector. Each track invites fans to rediscover the Beatles through a modern acoustic lens. A tribute to Rubber Soul is already in the works, promising another deep dive into Beatles history before the year ends.
In parallel, he’s on tour across Europe with his world music duo Hunclorique, while also working on his first English-language solo album, Coping Strategies for Voice and Guitar, slated for 2026.
